JERRY’S ROGUE JETS AT GOLD BEACH
This was such a fun weekend away from Medford. Gold beach is JUST far enough to give you an excuse to stay the night at the beach. Especially if you are planning on going on Jerry’s Rogue Jets for the day.
We bought the Southern Oregon Ultimate Staycation card – which got 2 adults onto the Jet Boats! (We had bought two passes for our family of 5) and Fitz was free because he was under 4 :) We actually upgraded our passes when we got there from the 64 Mile Round-Trip ‘Historic Mail Route’ to the 80 Mile Round-Trip ‘Whitewater Journey’ which was soooo worth it! I have heard from EVERYONE that it is well worth the trip to upgrade. You get to have more rapids and spins.
Tours include 1.5 hour lunch or dinner stops in Agness, 32 miles upriver. Location will depend on which trip you are scheduled for and departure schedule and the cost of food is not included in the trip price. Be prepared to stop for lunch and pay for it! The food isn’t terribly expensive, we just weren’t sure what to expect! You can check out the two different lunch spots here:
This kid literally had the time of his life! :)
We all got soaked at one point or another, but the day we went was super hot as we jetted along the river away from the coast.
We spent the rest of the day at Gold beach and found a place to stay as we drove into town since we weren’t actually planning on spending the night. I’m so glad we did, because by the end of the jet tour – we were exhausted!
