CRATER LAKE ZIPLINE + CRATER LAKE NP
FUN THINGS TO DO IN SOUTHERN OREGON WITH KIDS
A HUGE THANK YOU TO TRAVEL OREGON FOR SPONSORING THIS ADVENTURE
We had the opportunity to be a part of bringing to life Travel Oregon‘s brand new video campaign “Oregon, Only Slightly Exaggerated”. The animated video takes you along an Oregon adventure throughout the entire state, highlighting it’s magical spots including Southern Oregon’s very own Crater Lake National Park. Travel Oregon sent my family on a fun weekend adventure where we got to zipline with Crater Lake Zipline, stay the night at Running Y Ranch, spend the day at Crater Lake National Park, and end the trip with a quick stop at Lake of the Woods.
The best part about Crater Lake Zipline is that they have an ENTIRE course made JUST for kids, called Sasquatch Hollow. So, while the kids played – the adults got to zipline as well!
The kids had am absolute blast! Fitz was just a tad too short, so we will definitely need to come back when he’s tall enough. The course for adults runs between 2-3 hours depending on how big your group was. You get to go on 9 ziplines, 2 rappels, 2 skybridges, UTV ride and all the gear and equipment is included in the price. It was one of the MOST fun things I have done as an adult!
Crater Lake Zipline is a MUST -DO in Southern Oregon – especially with kids. We can’t wait to come back and do it again. I would even just take the kids for the day to Sasquatch Hollow!
We stayed at Running Y Ranch – which was so much fun and so nice! We had our own little cabin with a backyard for the kids to run around. Running Y Ranch has so many amenities – but our favorite was the indoor pool.
The next day, we made our way up to Crater Lake National Park and I was NOT expecting that much snow to still be there!
We LOVE Crater Lake in the summer – you can check out everything to do with kids HERE – but the beauty of the snow was breathtaking. You can go on a ranger led snowshoe hike (kids must be at least 8) so we have to skip out on it this time. It always fun to have en excuse to keep coming back though!
