SCIENCEWORKS HANDS ON MUSEUM
Ashland’s SCIENCEWORKS is a hands-on Science Museum that is both educational and tons of fun. They have a play room for young children, a room dedicated to making giant bubbles (my kids’ favorite), a room full of interactive activities that teach kids that science is FUN and so much more!
They also have $1 admission for the first Sunday of every month. They have a great Earth Day celebration on the front lawn with games, vendors, music, and science experiment presentations. Admission into Scienceworks is FREE that day!
I love Da Vinci’s Garage; a space dedicated to tinkering, experimenting, and playful invention.
It’s a place for staff and visitors to try out new ideas, tinker with familiar materials in new ways, explore new skills, and think with our hands.
They also have Hands-On experiments during certain hours of the summer months. We love making shrinky-dinks, and ice cream from dry ice!
One of the best parts about getting a YEAR MEMBERSHIP to Scienceworks, is that for $70 we received admission for my entire family of 5, plus FREE admission into hundreds of other museums across the entire US. You can get into the OMSI in Portland for free, Turtle Bay in Redding, and many museums in San Francisco as well. You also receive discounts on Birthday Parties and merchandise.
