DIY INDUSTRIAL CLOTHING RACK

0

I have been wanting a mobile clothing rack for my girls to hang their dress up clothes on, and after searching the internet I finally decided to just put something together on my own!

I really just winged it. I ran to Home Depot with my three kids (which is an adventure in itself) and somehow managed to get everything I needed without having to return 3 more times. 🙂

I also had Home Depot cut the wood for me. I could have done it at home, but we had just recently moved and all my big tools were just in storage. I also bought a pipe cutter. They aren’t very expensive, and really simple to use!

I really like the wood and copper look. The copper pipe is a lot more expensive than just getting silver or even PVC pipe (which you could easily use for very cheap)

I also grabbed some Hammered Rustoleum Copper Spray Paint to spray the other pieces to try and match the copper pipe.

You’ll have to excuse me because I have absolutely no idea what ANYTHING is called. I really just look at pictures and try and match tools or try and find something in the store that will meet my needs for building. Like these:

I stuck these on the bottom of the small shelf to help keep it from sliding down the pipe. It works well enough for me, and has held up. You may be able to find something better – and if you do, let me know!

This has been my favorite accessory I added last minute for the girls to throw their purses on, capes, whatever!  I actually wish I had added the little hook to both sides. Or even added another one right below the top one.

Hope this helps and inspires your own Industrial Clothing Rack! If you have any questions, feel free to comment and I’ll try and help 🙂
