CAMP MILLENNIUM PUMPKIN PATCH
Winston, Oregon
After my family and I went to Wildlife Safari, we enjoyed heading to Camp Millennium’s Pumpkin Patch.
Fall is finally here, and there’s something you can do to celebrate the season and help kids in need at the same time.
Camp Millennium holds a pumpkin patch fundraiser at Wildlife Safari through the month of October.
Camp Millennium is for children from 5-16 years of age who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Children from all over the state of Oregon apply each year through physicians, self-referral and support groups. The camp is a week filled with fun for kids who spend too much time in hospitals and clinics because of cancer. It is a time to be themselves, and to share in a variety of summer camp activities such as hiking, fishing, archery, swimming, arts and crafts, horseback riding, and many other surprises. The goal of this weeklong adventure is to provide these children with a camping experience, which can be extended into their everyday lives.
Close to twenty percent of the programs funds are brought in through this fundraiser alone.
It’s a perfect place for families to come and spend time with their kids while also giving back to a wonderful organization.
The event includes a pumpkin patch, face painting and games.
Camp Millennium will be holding the fundraiser every weekend through the month of October.
[…] seasonal, so be sure to check beforehand! We love visiting Wildlife Safari in the fall when the pumpkin patch is open, but feeding the deer is closed during that time, so we were happy to see it open this time […]
