LONE PINE PARK (SPRAY PARK)
Despite not having any fancy play structure, this is my kids favorite spray park/splash pad. There is A LOT of water coming out of these fountains! If you want to stay close to your kids while they are in the splash area, I would definitely recommend bringing a chair or something to cover you. The splash area is right in the sun (perfect for the kids getting soaked – not so perfect for the mom sitting and watching.) There are covered picnic tables, but they are pretty far from the splash area. Close enough to keep an eye on your child, but far enough away that they can’t hear you yelling for them.
This park is actually right adjacent to Lone Pine Elementary. My kids LOVE playing on the play structures at the school (during non-school hours of course). There is a fence that separates the school from Lone Pine Park, and usually during non-school hours you can go between the school and the park. I’m saying USUALLY, because after playing soccer at the park recently, we tried walking over to the school, and the gate was locked.
Lone Pine Elementary has a small kindergarten play structure and also a big-kid play structure. We love coming to the school to ride bikes and scooters.
